A Palmach raid on Sa'sa' on the night of 14 February 1948 blew up houses with families inside; about 60 died.

Sa'sa' was a large village in the upper Galilee. On the night of 14 to 15 February 1948, a Palmach unit under Moshe Kelman walked into it, placed explosives against houses while the families slept inside, and blew up between 16 and 20 of them. The Palmach's own report counted 60 dead, most of them women and children. The raid was described in the Haganah's history as a model operation.

The village was taken and emptied for good in October 1948, during Operation Hiram. The kibbutz Sasa stands on it.
