The Qibya massacre, 1953

5 años después.

El Estado de Israel lo hizo 5 años después de su propia declaración.

Unit 101, led by Ariel Sharon, killed 69 villagers in Qibya on the night of 14 October 1953.

On the night of 14 October 1953, in reprisal for the killing of a woman and two children in Yehud, Israel's Unit 101 under Ariel Sharon, with paratroopers, attacked the village of Qibya in the Jordanian-held West Bank. The soldiers blew up 45 houses, a school and a mosque, many with their occupants inside. Sixty-nine villagers were killed, two thirds of them women and children.

Israel at first said settlers had done it. The UN Security Council condemned the raid. Sharon, who wrote later that he had believed the houses were empty, went on to lead the army's southern command, the invasion of Lebanon in 1982, and the government of Israel.
