El Estado de Israel lo hizo 6 meses después de su propia declaración.

Israeli soldiers killed between 35 and 58 people in the Lebanese village of Hula on 31 October 1948.

Hula is a village in southern Lebanon, across the border from the Galilee. On 31 October 1948, in the last days of Operation Hiram, Israeli troops crossed into Lebanon and took it. Over that day and the next, according to the army's own records, soldiers rounded up the men of the village, shot them in a house in groups, and blew the house up with the bodies inside. Between 35 and 58 people were killed.

The officer in command, Shmuel Lahis, was tried by an Israeli military court, convicted, and sentenced to seven years; the sentence was reduced to a year, and he was later pardoned. In 1978 he was appointed director general of the Jewish Agency.
